TeamCast winner for IBC Innovation Awards 2011!
Content Delivery & Judges Prize!!

TeamCast was honoured at the IBC Innovation Awards 2011 for Content Delivery technology category and the Judges Prize, on September 11, 2011. These awards focus on the latest technology and latest technical ingenuity. IBC is the premier annual event for television and broadcasting professionals worldwide.

At the IBC ceremony Awards, the award for Content Delivery technology “Single Frequency Networks for HD with DVB-T2” was presented by the Finnish operator DNA for the new HDTV broadcast in Finland. Its project involves TeamCast, Oy L Ericsson Ab, system integrator for transmission and broadcast networks and Plisch GMbH, manufacturer of digital transmitters systems. The project presents how the implementation was done in SFN mode with DVB-T2, using new broadcast network planning rules.

“We are honoured to be awarded with two prestigious prizes. We have won the Award in the Content Delivery Category in front of TV Globo and Warner Bros. And, the judges gave another Award: the famous “Judges prize” to DNA and his partners for its rollout of terrestrial HD television with the new DVB-T2 standard.  I’m happy to see that the excellent job in this project led by DNA and done by our technological partners and our team is recognized successfully for DVB-T2/T2 lite knowledge. According to IBC, the submissions for the 2011 Awards were representing the very highest technology and innovation from around the world.” says Serge Mal, Executive Vice-President and General Manager at TeamCast.
